Be cautious when you need to readjust the loftiness between Adapterboard (green) and Cubieboard (black). Only wield gravity in the zone of the pinheaders, so that you don´t wrench the thin Cubieboard too much. Part 1.2: Mounting Adapterboard & Cubieboard There are 2 mounting holes on each side. For all screws we recommend to use vendibles adhesive. Part 2.1: Serial subscription between Adapterboard & Cubieboard Parts required Adapterboard & Cubieboard 2 pin serial subscription Now you can suitcase the 2 pin serial subscription between the Adapterboard & Cubieboard. The Cubieboard has a pinheader with 4 pins, but we only use the RX and TX pin.Suitcasethe subscription to the RX and TX pin. If you don´t install the serial cable, you still have 3 serial ports on the OpenVario for external devices. And at the moment, ttyS0 (UART 1) is only configured for debugging purpose. Part 2.2: Serial subscription between Adapterboard & Cubieboard Now flip the package, so that the Adapterboard is on top. There you will find a 2 pin pinheader, which is located in the middle of the Adapterboard. Connect the subscription here, so that you don´t twist the cables. In this example the yellow subscription is on the side of the USB port. The colour of the subscription can be variegated in your OpenVario kit. Part 2.3: Serial subscription between Adapterboard & Cubieboard You can wind the serial subscription virtually the loftiness vendibles like shown in the picture. Part 3: Sensorboard installation Parts required: Sensorboard 3 x pressure hoses Sensorboard subscription Silicone self-ruling sealant (e.g. Sikaflex 221)Whenhousing Install the Sensorboard calbe on the IDC header of the Sensorboard like shown in the picture. Part 3.1: Sensorboard sealing Sealing of the pressure hoses of the sensorboard is highly recommended to ensure the air-tightness. Take some Sikaflex 221 (e.g. decanted in a syringe) and put it on the threads of the three pressure hoses. Be shielding not to use too much, otherwise it will squeeze out and can tropical the pressure hole. Part 3.2: Sensorboard sealing Now you can thoughtfully insert the Sensorboard into the housing.Squintat the correct structuring surpassing you spike the pressure hoses. Part 4.1: Mounting Adapterboard & Cubieboard in housing Parts required: Adapterboard & Cubieboard 4 x M3 countersunk screws 2 x quick lock Rear housingSurpassinginstalling the Adapterboard & Cubieboard package in the housing, you need to unscrew the loftiness bolts on the D-Sub 15 connector. The loose metal imbricate should stay on the connector in the correct direction. The original loftiness bolts are not needed anymore and replaced by the quick lock loftiness bolts. Part 4.2: Mounting Adapterboard & Cubieboard in housing Insert the Adapterboard & Cubieboard package into the rear housing box, so that the connectors at the when side matches the holes. Take superintendency of the loose metal part from the D-Sub 15 connector. When everything looks fine, you can screw in the 4 woebegone M3 countersunk screws. After that, you need to install the quick lock loftiness bolts at the D-Sub connector. Part 3.3: Install sensor subscription Install the sensorboard subscription like shown in the picture. Part 5: Installing mounting blocks Parts required: 4 x mouting blocks 8 x M2,5 woebegone countersunk screws Rear housing Part 5: Installing mounting blocks Install all four mounting blocks like shown in the picture. Take superintendency to use the spot faced sides of the mounting block, where you install a screw. Part 5:  Installing mounting blocks Here is only an other detailed picture. Part 6:  Installation of displaycable at adapterboard Parts required: LVDS displaycableWhenhousing with electronics Part 6: Installation of displaycable at adapterboard Plug in the exhibit subscription connector to the adapterboard like shwon in the picture. Take superintendency of the orientation!! There is one whit dot at the connector housing and one white whirligig at the adapterboard for orientation. In this picture, the white dot is at the left side of the exhibit subscription connector. Also suitcase the subscription shielding (black wire) to the screw like shown in the picture. Part 7:  Attaching front plate Parts required: Front plateWhenhousing with electronics installed 4 x M2,5 woebegone countersunk screws Install the front plate so, that the countersunk holes are looking to you. Very important is, that the rectangular cutout for the displaycable is matching the exhibit connection at the display. The cutout is not in center!Whenhousing in landscape orientation and lables are readable (not upside down) Front plate rotated so, that the subscription cutout is increasingly upper Lateron, the front frame with exhibit is tying so, that the worthier front boarder is at the marrow side Part 6: Attaching front plate Mount the front plate with 4 x M2.5 woebegone countersunk screws in the correct orientation. Part 7: Installing exhibit in front frame Parts required: Front frameExhibitFoam strip Part 7: Installing exhibit in front frame Install the exhibit in the front frame, so that you can´t see the metallic exhibit imbricate within the frame at the front side. Now you cut the foam strip in 4 small strips and suitcase them like shown in the picture. Part 7: Installing exhibit in front frame At the corner with the white and red wire, I would not recommend to put the foam strip whilom the cables. If you want to remove the foam strip one day, you can hands restriction the cables and it applies increasingly pressure to the exhibit (thickness of cables). Part 8:  Insallation of exhibit subscription at exhibit Insert the exhibit subscription in the exhibit connector. Take superintendency to install it in the correct orientation. Part 8: Installation of displaycable at exhibit The installed displaycable should squint like this. Part 9:  Final turnout of housing Now you can make the final turnout of the when and front housing. Take superintendency to use the correct orientation, so that the exhibit connector and the cutout at the front plate are matching. For increasingly details read then Part 7.Thoughtfullyput the stiff subscription into the when housing, so that there is no stiff shielding left between exhibit and front plate. Take superintendency at this step, considering the exhibit is a very fragile part and it can hands unravel if you put too much pressure on it. At the end you take the 4 x M2,5 woebegone countersunk screws and install them at the corners. Congratulations! That´s it with the mechanical turnout and you should now proceed soldering the D-Sub 15 connector.
